Fall

She worries about the empty spaces
and the way things and people move
to and fro in suspension
in the absence of love

They grow so vast
one can no longer carry them in the eyes,

she says;

They grow so heavy
one would rather sit by and use some silence,

she says.

(Here's a secret:
one morning you'll wake up,
they'll have fallen to the ground
meaningless
and you'll move through them with
no memory of their ending or beginning.)

  1. Thank you, Kenia. I wish it could be so easy to forget. Gracias.

  2. oh, if only she would stop worrying.

    a huge revelation for me in the last few years, acceptance is the holiest of words.
